De-radicalization, The Effort To Extinguish The Light Of Shari’a And Jihad In Indonesia

The attempts to extinguish the light of Islam started when the da’wah of Islam was first conveyed by Rasulullah SAW. It never stops and continues to these days in Indonesia. Since the issue of terrorists and terrorism was raised, the government of the RI (Republic of Indonesia) are so eager to put out the spirit of the implementation of Shari'a with da'wah dan jihad fie sabilillah. Through the institution of the POLRI and the anti-terror executor team i.e. Densus 88, which was jointly created with foreign countries, they brutally arrested the ulama’s of the Mujahideen and the Mujahideen, even killing and slaughtering them blindly and inhumanely. A former expert staff of the Kapolri (head of the Indonesian police), Anton Tabah, said that what usually made people extreme and radical are the verses of the Qur'an, QS. Al-Maidah (5): 44 ,45, 47 which read:

 

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِن كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ [٥:٤٤

It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers. 

"If any fail to judge by what Allah has revealed, they are kafir." (QS. 5: 44)

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ [٥:٤٥

We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers. 

 "If any fail to judge by what Allah has revealed, they are dzalim." (QS. 5: 45)

 

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْإِنجِيلِ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ [٥:٤٧

Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel. 

 "If any fail to judge by what Allah has revealed, they are fasiq." (QS. 5: 47)

"Where the kafir, dzalim and fasiq are the dwellers of hell. If someone has his understanding locked onto these verses in black and white, then he would become an extreme radical.
